About Red Ladders

Red Ladders Entertainment is a Los Angeles based production company dedicated to developing and producing new works for Film, TV, Theatre and the Web.

RLE was founded in 2006 by friends and partners, Kaily Smith and David Weidoff. Smith and Weidoff first met while attending the USC School of Theater BFA Acting Program. Upon graduating in 2005, they formed a professional partnership as writers that would soon give birth to the RLE production company.

In March of 2007, RLE achieved early success with the beautifully scripted "Good Thing" by Jessica Goldberg and directed by B. Swibel. The play garnered critical acclaim for RLE and enjoyed an extended run at the Hudson Mainstage Theatre in Hollywood. RLE has had the great pleasure of collaborating with artists and producers such as Tom Arnold, Ryan Eggold, Tia and Tamera Mowry, Tony Hale, Felicia Day, Tara Smith, B. Swibel, Diana Castle, and Tommy Dewey among many others.

In 2008, Smith and Weidoff co-wrote and created the Web Series The series successfully launched its first Season in the Summer of 2009.

Red Ladders Entertainment continues to break the boundaries of a conventional production company and hopes to further stretch its abilities through hard work and imagination.
